HSEQ Lead at ISS
ISS is one of the world's largest service companies and we are soon celebrating 80 years in Sweden! With over 6,500 employees across the country, from north to south, we deliver services that make a difference. We offer our customers everything from cleaning to technical services, food and workplace services. We create workplaces where people thrive, companies grow, and where sustainability is a given – socially, environmentally, and economically. Our employees are the heart of what we do – and crucial for our customers to feel safe, seen – and for their workplaces to flourish.
About the position
As HSEQ Lead with a focus on workplace safety, you will have a broad and varied role where you combine operational support with strategic development. You are our senior expert in workplace safety and play a key role in further developing both our systematic workplace safety work and our safety culture. You will work with HSEQ issues centrally within ISS Sweden and in close collaboration with the management teams within our business areas. The role also involves collaboration with the HSEQ function within ISS Group.
You will report to the Head of HSEQ and be part of a team of six employees. Together we provide strategic and operational support for the business – through structure, processes, and tools – to integrate HSEQ into daily work.
Your responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining a structured approach for quality, environment, and workplace safety, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, customer requirements, ISO standards, and internal guidelines
- Analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Providing support in managing HSEQ risks
- Participating in internal and external audits
- Representing ISS in dialogue with customers, authorities, and other stakeholders
- Establishing and conducting training sessions.
The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a 6-month probation period. The location is at ISS headquarters in Stockholm or at the office in Gothenburg, other locations may be considered. Travel within Sweden occurs regularly in this role.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who has a genuine commitment to the field, solid expertise in workplace safety, and a passion for driving improvement, creating structure, and translating strategy into concrete reality.
With humility and good communication skills, you drive change initiatives and easily build trust across different parts of the organization. You are driven, structured, and solution-oriented – with the ability to act both strategically and operationally in your role.

- Academic education in workplace safety or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience as a workplace safety engineer
